Chickdowntown.com is closing down and they are are having a closeout sale.  I stumbled onto this sale a few weeks back but they were having problems with their website so I forgot about it. 

Last night, I happened to stumble onto their website once again.  They don't have much left.  It was a little frustrating at first...click after click, stock is sold out.  After a while, I did manage to add a few things to my cart.  Usually, I try to avoid sales like these because I almost always buy things I never ever wear.  I think I did pretty good this time though since it wasn't rally a "sale" sale.  All non-sale items are70% off and I couldn't resist.

Drooling Over Purple Shoes

I love purple; it's my most favorite color. Now two shoes in my favorite style (Very Prive) are available in my favorite color and they're already out in my size!!!  These just arrived two days ago and they're already unattainable....BOOO!

These are SOOOO perfect for my upcoming trip!  I'm so excited to wear them!!  I really hope I don't get them dirty though.  I'll find something to treat them with before I go.  =)

Barbara Bui Python Bracelet

Alexa...oh Alexa...

This morning, JJ turned me on to a new obsession...the Alexa by Mulberry.  After ogling several pictures online, I have temporarily added the Alexa to my must-haves.  And now, I come across an article that Alexa will be designing for Madewell.  I <3 Madewell!  I think it's a sign that I should get the bag.....LOL.

The Search for the Black Bag

I'm not that big on purses but I do, however, realize the necessity for having a functional, professional-looking bag.  A lot of my bags are hobos and when I have to go somewhere on a (semi-)professional capacity, I'm always scrambling to find a bag to take with me.

After a lot of mulling over, I decided I need a structured black purse in my 'collection'.  Grey is really  my first choice but I think black would be a more professional choice.  As you have probably gathered, getting me to buy anything black is like pulling teeth.

I've narrowed my choices to the following:

My first choice is the Mulberry Bayswater.  It's a relatively inexpensive good-sized sturdy bag.  It has all the qualities of a great workhorse and it fits what I'm looking for - black, structured, professional-looking.

This next one is a shocker, lol, the Fendi Maxi Baguette.  It looks more like an oversized evening bag.  Most "professional-looking" bags seem to have a bit of a masculine feel.  The chain strap on this bag definitely adds a bit of femininity and daintiness and takes away that masculine but also perhaps a bit of the "professionalism" too.

The YSL Muse is also a great choice and it has all the qualities of the Bayswater but I really want this bag in Grey so I probably won't get it in Black.

Tops Galore

Every time I shop, I always seem to pick up a pair of jeans or a pair of shoes.  I always tell myself I need more tops to go with all the jeans I buy.  Well, I finally did it!  I bought myself some tops. :) Buying blousy tops is a big leap for me since I tend to gravitate towards t-shirts.  What can I say, I'm finally growing up.  Lol...

Project Runway tonight!

Project Runway starts up again tonight.  Admittedly, I haven't watched the show since they've moved to Lifetime.  I used to love the show but I don't think Lifetime is available in HD and I hate watching non-HD channels.  I know, I sound like a sulky bitch but I like my HD.  I also hate that it's on Lifetime.  I don't know what channel that is on Time Warner, lol.

Anyway, to all those who know what channel Lifetime is, catch the premiere of Project Runway tonight at 10pm.

It's just a freakin' email but it feels like forever waiting for it.  I watch my inbox like a hawk and all I get are stupid Facebook notifications!  Ugh, email already....stupid time difference...

edit: how many emails do I have to send before these people respond?!?!? grrr...  wait, maybe it's a good thing since I am on a ban....hmmm....methinks the shopping gods are trying to tell me something...

Do I Need A New Camera?

I had this conversation with KRMN the other day coz she brought up she wanted a new camera and I mentioned that I also have been thinking about getting a new camera.  While she and the rest of those I know are looking to buy DSLRs or newer/faster/better models of their present ones, I actually want a less fancy one.  =)

Since I'll be traveling the whole month of February, I thought of starting a travel journal and the best (and least techy) way to accomplish this is with an instant camera.  Gone are the days of Polaroid but Fuji has an answer with their very own instant cam - the Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s:

I'm still on the fence about getting one since I'll probably be too lazy to take pics anyway but I think it's a fun way to document my trip.  I still have my trusty digital camera but the instant one will, I think, show a diff perspective of the trip....or am I just trippin'?

Not only do they have sh*tty customer service, the sell EMPTY dvds!  That's right, EMPTY.

I was ready to watch Shooter tonight but guess what, I can't!  Granted I bought this dvd a while back but typical me, I stuff it in my dvd case without opening it.  Now when I want to watch it, I can't coz it's EMPTY.  As in, there's nothing in the damn case!

So, I call the store and 1.) they give me attitude and 2.) they tell me there's nothing they can do.  So, they take my money and sell me a dvd case.  Thanks guys, I don't need a F*N dvd case, I want my movie!

WTF!  I hope they go under like Circuit City did.  That's what they deserve.
