Before I start, I want to apologize for the lack of updates. School has been crazy busy so I'll be posting intermittently.
It's been a while since I've been a full-time student that I was a bit apprehensive of what to wear. Needless to say, I quickly adjusted...hahaha... Today, I tried to be comfy without looking like a slob. I hope it worked. :)
PS - I didn't wear flip-flops to school. I took this pic after I changed out of my shoes and my sweater.

Thanks JG!!
This post is long overdue. Big thanks to JG for buying these boots for me from the Gilt sale when I couldn't be in front of the computer 'coz I was driving to SCP at the time. I get a frantic phone call from one of my best buds that boots were on sale and they had 1 left in my size. She ended up getting me a pair and I couldn't be more grateful, Thanks again JG!! I'll miss you!!
PS - JG took this pic after she had me try on the boots.

FUG Bag Parade
Designers should really have more discerning tastes in terms of what they sell to the public coz these are just fug...
I'm sure there are more fug bags out there so please be mindful when purchasing big ticket items. Just because they cost an arm and a leg does not mean they are worth it....sometimes. xoxo
Chanel Floral Flap - Barf on a chain
Marc Jacobs Dancer Tote - the fringe detail looks like a skin disease
Gucci Techno Horsebit Flap - a little too much hardware
Jimmy Choo Tatum Fringe Bag - why shoe designers should really stick to shoes
Prada Rete Metal Evening Bag - maybe Prada should stick to nylon

Valentino Fairytale Shoes
I'm a little bit late to the party but I've been quite obsessed with these shoes lately:
Yes, these shoes are completely impractical for my current lifestyle but they are breathtakingly gorgeous. I'm so smitten right now that I just might marry them, hehe...
These shoes are also available in black but I think nude takes the cake.

ID Pics
Tomorrow is the last day for me to submit a pic for my school ID so I asked a friend to take my pic. It's kinda hard when you have people watching so I had a few outtakes. And a video but there's no way I'm posting that.
Here's the one I sent out for my new ID (I hope it gets approved):
And here's another one, just coz...
Cheers!!

M.I.A.
I've been M.I.A. Sorry folks. I've been busy trying to enjoy LA before I leave that I have neglected my blog. I also went on a brief trip to NYC to find an apartment (which I did, yay) and other things so I'll probably start blogging again soon....if I have some down time...
Sorry again.
XOXO

New Shoes!!!
I finally get to share my new shoes! I'm so excited...these are already all over my collection thread on tpf so my dear tpf-ers, please bear with me. And sorry for the crappy pics...these were taken in a rush :p
These are the Lenten ban-breakers:
I've wanted these for the longest time but could never justify the $1000+ price tag. I've missed out on these a couple of times on ebay and finally, fate smiled upon me when these showed up on the Outnet CL sale a couple weeks ago. I woke up at 6am PDT for a sale that was supposed to start at 10am PDT...there was a lot of confusion over what time the sale was starting. I'm glad I did though because the sale started about 15 minutes early and I bought these shoes before the site started having problems.
After I broke my Lenten ban, I was supposed to get the Louis sneakers; so off to SCP I went with JJ to window shop and try on my future sneakers. Of course, things never go as planned and I ended up with these:
I originally wanted these shoes in the Black/Red colorway but it was love at first sight when I tried on the Nudes. I've always admired nude CLs and now I finally have a pair.
This last pair needs no introduction since I've talked about wanting this pair for a while.
My very own Black/Silver Louis Sneaks!!! I love them so much I'm thinking about getting the White/Gold colorway too. My favorite part of the shoes (apart from the studs) is the sole:
Who needs to stand in line for a CL signing when you already have Msr. L's siggy stamped on your sole!! These are the first pair of CLs that I actually wore out, pretty much as soon as I got them. I usually wait a few days to weeks to months (I still have unworn pairs) before I wear my shoes out. I got these last night and had them on all day today. Yup, that's how much I love them.
And these three pairs, ladies and gents, is Reward No. 1. I'm just as excited as all of you to find out what Reward Nos. 2 and 3 are. Oh yea, did I mention I deserve 3 rewards??? Hehehe...

From Thailand...With Love
I got to pick up one of my packages today. This one came all the way from Thailand.
I loved that the wrapped each of them individually. It was like getting 3 presents!!
And to my surprise, I actually got 5!! I ordered the three leather bracelets and got the last two for free. I've been looking at leather accessories lately and I stumbled onto these on Etsy. Each piece is handmade using real leather and at prices that can't be beat!! I'm def getting more soon.

Closet Challenge
We all have those days when we stand in front of a FULL closet and complain that we have nothing to wear. For me, I tend to wear the same pieces over and over and the rest of the closet (including the ones I've just bought) gets ignored.
These past few days, I've been challenging myself to wear items that still have tags on them before I run out to buy more clothes. I think I'm doing well so far and I hope this trend continues because my closet really cannot accommodate any more new clothes...AND I'm moving!

H&M Garden Collection
Bloggers have been abuzz with H&M's Garden Collection and I finally got to see the collection this past weekend. I went to three different H&Ms since they all carry different stock and it seems the collection is a hit with the Beverly Center location having the most selection.
Most of the smaller sizes were gone in the pieces that I liked but I did walk away with a purchase (how can I not?):
This dress is probably THE loudest dress I own but it's a fun dress and I can't wait to wear it out.

Impatiently waiting...
I'm waiting on one more thing before I do a shoe (and partial reward) update. Unfortunately, I won't get it until next Tuesday. Is it Tuesday yet?
At last count, I had about 11 packages on their way to me. Including Tuesday's package, I am waiting on 3 more. I'll do a separate post on all the packages together.

Current Obsession: Body Jewelry
I've been seriously lusting after these pieces for the past couple of days (thanks a lot Nicole) but I haven't pulled the trigger coz I have NOWHERE to wear them to! I think I need a couple more days to figure out how they'd fit into my life/wardrobe before I decide to get them.
Chain Garter, $220
Knee Strap, $115
Chainmail, $300
Aren't the awesome?!?! There are a lot more pieces that I want and if money grew on trees, I'd buy most of their inventory. LOVE!

Barbie
I've never really liked Barbies until now. I think I kinda need these in my life:
These dolls are only available through a fund-raising auction and just my luck that the auction starts at about $1,000. *sigh*
*For information on the auction, please contact Menchu Mantecon at 0918-942-5118 or email menchugonzalezmantecon@yahoo.com.

Insane
I've been on a flats kick lately since I haven't really found a pair of heels that "speak" to me until I saw these:
I'm in serious shoe lust!!! The heels are 170mm so I'm not sure about the walkability factor but these bad boys are begging to be tried on. If you call me tomorrow and you don't hear from me, call the Balenciaga store on Melrose. Chances are, I'll be there.

Dinner at Firefly
I met a friend for dinner tonight at Firefly in Studio City. Two other people were supposed to come but due to circumstances, it turned out to be just me and RE. The food was surprisingly good and the drinks were as good as I remembered. The company was great, as usual. We dished on everything from boys to vacations to tpf drama. Good times.
I haven't really gone out since I came back from my very casual/laid-back vacation so it took a while for me to figure out what to wear. I ended up choosing to go with black shorts and my burgundy python VPs. I had an unfortunate make-up incident with my original top so I ended up changing at the last minute.
Not the most inspired outfit, I know. Oh well, I was comfy and got complimented on my legs (lol). Here's a closeup of the shoes:
Here's to more good times to look forward to. Cheers!

My Boots are Here!!
I've worn my Uggs to death...well, not really. They still have some life to them but I wanted to buy a replacement pair before they actually do end up dying on me. One of my good friends, JG, recently bought a pair of Australia Luxe Collective boots and after seeing them on her, I knew I had to get a pair too. The only thing holding me back from getting a pair was the price. These are about twice the price of Uggs and I wasn't sure if I wanted to splurge on shoes I really only wear to walk my dog (and occasionally to school when I'm feeling lazy). To my surprise, Reverse had a special sale the other day for Australia Luxe Collective. After about a day of agonizing about it, I went ahead and purchased a pair....and I couldn't be happier. Yay!!
It also came with a cute keychain!
I know the weather is warming up but it's never too late/early to buy stuff for fall/winter...especially when it's on sale. :)

Carrera Sunglasses: Safari R/S
I'm a sucker...for sob stories, for cute puppies but most of all I'm the sucker who buys crap she sees on TV. This time, it wasn't from infomercials (thank goodness) but from a music video all of you have probably seen.
Look familiar? It's a still from Lady Gaga's new video "Telephone". And yes, those sunglasses are on their way to me. Well, not those exact ones but something similar. The ones Gaga has on are the Champions and I bought the Safaris (below):
Like I said, I'm a sucker. I like sunglasses but I really didn't need to buy these. They're cool and I like them in pictures. I just hope they "fit" my face shape. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
